Transplanting trees requires years of experience utilizing the art of drum lacing. This type of work can only be taken on by skilled professional landscapers. It is as much a science as an art form. Transplanting large trees is no small task. It takes preparation, understanding the nature of the terrain and understanding plant health. Everything from soil characteristics to weather systems can influence the success of transplanting trees.
These Kousa Dogwood trees were grouped together to form a mass of trees flanking the entry. After super storm Sandy damaged some of the weaker trees we utilized the nicest two plants and transplanted them as stand alone specimen trees. These trees worked well as they had grown significantly since originally planted. The finished project opened up the entry and showcased the plants.
